Introduction

Universal Peace Gathering is an effort for healing the world in a spirit of goodwill and celebration. Organized by a group of committed volunteers brought together from many walks of life, the event is a statement to the world on the pressing need for a life lived in harmony with nature and with a spirit of understanding and brotherhood among the diverse cultural, ethnic and religious groups of the world.

Spanning the entire year of 2010 in scenic Nepal, Universal Peace Gathering features a series of events featuring cultural exchange, environmental awareness and activism, human aid, music festivals, natural and spiritual education, yoga and meditation, and much more.

Activities

A wide range of activities has been planned for the event year, and many seeds have already been planted — literally! Experience the vast spectrum of local and global cultures: their habits, cuisines, music and local traditions. Help preserve the nature by collecting garbage and planting fresh vegetation from our nurseries.

Explore the depths of your soul in meditation retreats and seminars led by experienced teachers and scholars. Trek the pristine nature of Nepal at the foothills of the majestic Himalayas. Share a universal platform of spirituality in the One Love Crystal Temple. Come walk along with us — let’s make a difference in the world we all share!

Participate

You are cordially invited to participate in this unique event, a precursor to a series of global awareness happenings, a bold demonstration to the world on the power of a sincere desire to effect good both in the human world and in the vast universe engulfing us.

All the main programs, spread over a hundred locations across Nepal in the course of the year, are offered free of cost. Food, accommodation and other necessities are offered for a modest compensation to facilitate your comfortable stay at the top of the world.

Support

Things of this magnitude rarely happen without adequate financing. While a group volunteers from the Universal Peace Foundation have already invested substantial funds in bringing our dream of a gathering to reality, we are in need of additional finances to ensure a seamless program. Approaching 2010, you’ll find detailed information on specific events and programs you can contribute towards.

All the money in the world cannot, however, accomplish what brothers and sisters of good spirit can. Come to Nepal and take part in our activities, experience and share of the beautiful, universal spirit of love and goodwill that has been sparked into being and is in a state of perpetual expansion! We offer free accommodation and food to committed volunteers.
