Universal Peace Gathering 2010

FAQ

Q. The year is 2010, but what’s the date?

A. The Universal Peace Gathering 2010 program spreads across the entire year of 2010 with events scheduled in over a hundred locations around Nepal. The schedule will be published in 2009. Whenever you come, we’ll have an event overlapping with your visit – you can expect to see most buzz going on during peak travel times, full moon days and local festivals.

Q. What’s the entry fee for these events?

A. There is no entry fee for the events we organize. Depending on program and location, there may be optional accommodations, meals and so on that we are unable to offer without compensation, but all the main programs themselves will be free of cost.

Q. Is one expected to participate in voluntary activities?

A. The heart of the Universal Peace Gathering is in extending goodwill towards both the humanity and the nature. While none is interested in exerting pressure on anyone, and while there are no fixed quotas of any work, it is our earnest hope that this spirit of extending ourselves in healing the world would touch each and every participant.

Q. What can I do to participate?

A. There are diverse fields of activity going on: cultural exchange, environmental work, musical events, education on diverse universally relevant subjects and so forth. Expect to see them detailed in the upcoming Universal Peace Foundation website (www.universalshanti.org). Explore them and pick your choice, or otherwise contact us and let us know of your skills and interests!
